Vance Revennaugh began teaching at University of Northwestern in 1990. He has taught several math and math education courses here. He also teaches three distance education courses in mathematics. 

Previously, he taught at Riverside Christian School in Lost Creek, Kentucky, for three years and was a mathematician/computer programmer at the U.S. Forest Service and at the Department of Defense for a total of 11 years. 

Revennaugh is also involved with the Minnesota Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

Students majoring in our math program learn a wide range of mathematics, from calculus to geometry to discrete math and more, so that they will be very well equipped to succeed in science, tech, and math related professions after college. But more than that, the professors in our department encourage critical, creative, and analytical skills in solving math problems.
