Michael Jacobson joined Northwestern after spending more than twenty years at three different universities in the United Arab Emirates, serving on the faculty and in administrative roles. He has taught courses related to physiological signals, electrical fundamentals, and control systems.
After completing his Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering at the University of Minnesota he supported pharmacology researchers while working at Data Sciences International. At the United Arab Emirates University, he researched instrumentation of physiological signals related to diabetes mellitus and earned a Ph.D. at Edinburgh Napier University, UK. Dr. Jacobson has produced more than a dozen publications and presentations.
